Valerie is an honors graduate from Texas A&M University School of law. Her success in prosecuting cases as an intern at the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office, her competing on the upper-level mock trial traveling team, and her involvement in various intramural competitions during law school earned Valerie the distinction of Outstanding Advocate, awarded by the Texas A&M Board of Advocates.

Valerie’s diverse legal experience includes criminal law (representing both the state and the defense); guardianship and other special needs issues; probate litigation; CPS litigation; landlord/tenant; family law; personal injury; and complex civil litigation.
